It's been a long time since my last post and I'm currently living at an elevation of 9600 in Breckenridge, CO...for at least a few more days at the Colorado Imaging Workshops. It's a photography school and SO much more than that. I'm helping out in a class being taught by Kevin Kubota. It's been only a half day of class and I'm loving every minute of it.
I flew out on Thursday and spent a few days with my dear college friend, Heather. I also went out to lunch with my cousin Evie. Saturday was the day we went "up the hill" to the mountains. What a gorgeous sight to see for a midwestern girl. (However, I would still have a hard time giving up Lake Michigan!)
It's been such an awesome time of getting to know other photographers (what a crazy bunch of people...you should see what a bunch of photographers do when they get together at a party with a camera. I'll try to post a pic later.) In addition to the fun, I'm gaining some much needed inspiration and encouragement.
It was a crazy couple weeks leading up to being gone from the family for a week. Scheduling. Laundry. Meals. Tears. Once that jet took off, there was nothing more I could do. From what I've heard from Mark and all the helpers, the kids are doing great. I talk to them every day and their voice brings me back to reality. I miss them dearly but staying busy here does help. Looking forward to getting kisses from them on Friday morning.
I'll keep you posted but I HIGHLY recommend looking into the Colorado Imaging Workshops if you can swing it. A big thanks to Kalen Henderson who suggested I look into it.
Signing off. Time for bed. (Sleep is one thing you don't get much of at the school!)
